Kristina Palett, born in 1994 in Kosterevo, Russia, is a contemporary artist currently based in Moscow, Russia. She honed her academic skills and explored traditional Russian folk ornament techniques during her formative years. In 2011, she relocated to New York City to further her artistic education, culminating in a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Painting at Pratt Institute in 2017.

Throughout her time in New York, Palett actively participated in multiple group exhibitions, showcasing her evolving artistic vision. In 2018, she returned to Moscow, where she has continued to develop her practice. Her work has been featured in a variety of formats, including solo exhibitions, art talks, collaborative projects, art markets, and pop-up exhibitions in unique dining venues and bars as she is striving to engage her work in the public spaces.

Demonstrating her commitment to engaging with diverse audiences through her art, she constantly experiments with shape, color, surface, techniques and subject matters.

Her past and current mediums combine canvas, watercolor, oil, acrylics, metal wires, yarn, clay, pencils and charcoal.

Kristina’s evolving subject matters touch on the topics of: music; limitation VS freedom; flaneuring; sensory reaction to color; the “artistic” experience and the different meanings behind being an artist and creating work.
